Windshield Saramonic VWS for shotgun type microphones

Saramonic VWS is a fully complete windshield designed for the SR-TM1 and SR-TM7 shotgun microphones. It can also be used for microphones that do not exceed 395 millimeters in length. The perfect solution for advanced film and television productions.

VWS is equipped with a "shock mount" system, which ensures comfortable suspension of the microphone and the necessary isolation against unauthorized vibrations. The system consists of a one-piece thermoplastic material, which improves the suspension compared to other solutions. A high-quality male / XLR female XLR cable is recessed inside the cover and goes through the aluminum cover handle to the flexible suspension. This feature of the hood also eliminates the transmission of vibrations to the microphone.

The entire housing is made of high-quality plastic, covered with a thin layer of flexible material. Thanks to this, it does not have a negative impact on the sound quality, while facilitating the operator's work. The front and back of the housing are two domes with the possibility of easy assembly and disassembly in order to properly position the microphone. At the bottom of the cover there is an aluminum handle, equipped with a 1/4 ”and 3/8” thread and two knobs which are responsible for adjusting the cover 180 degrees to the left and right. The handle has been mounted to a special cover sled, which allows it to be freely positioned at a distance of 18.5 cm.
